Brighton-based stoner/groove rock quintet, InTechnicolour, are pleased to announce the release of their new single ‘Doomer’ on Small Pond Recordings NOW!
The band will be hitting the road in May 2017 on a run of dates with label mates The Physics House Band in support of the new material.
The follow up to their debut self-titled EP, it’s another swirling cut of heady, weed-fuelled stoner rock that’s a stunning reawakening of their desert-influenced cyclone of riffs and the beautifully drawling, opiated vocals of Tobie Anderson.
Comprised of members from the likes of Delta Sleep, LUO and Physics House Band, here are a fully formed band of technically gifted musicians cutting loose and playing music that’s about as far removed from their day jobs as it’s possible to get, and doing it better than a good portion of their contemporaries.
The band have previously been quoted as saying that they "literally have nothing to say about themselves", but with music this good, it’s highly likely that there’ll be plenty of others willing to do the talking for them.
2015 debut InTechnicolour marked the band out as ones to watch, landing somewhere between the slack desert-groove of Kyuss and Karma to Burn. However, it's clear that the bands influences don't end there, as their penchant for combining simple yet deeply satisfying riffs with a dynamic vocal style calls to mind the sounds of Baroness, Gojira and Mastodon.
Through their combination of haunting, powerful vocals, suspenseful, progressive clean sections and anthemic, unforgettable choruses, they’ve won early support from the likes of NPR, Metal Sucks, Decibel and Upset to name just a few.
